Another addition of my Stitch Wheel stitches. It’s been a bit addictive and I love these ones. We have The colonial Knot, Bullion Knot and Rose.

The bullion knot looks like little caterpillars when you first stitch them and when you start getting them altogether like below the texture on them is amazing!

A bit of a tricky wrap around stitch but worth the perseverance and I think I have the hang of them now.

The bullion knot

The Rose is formed from a curly Bullion knot and it’s so beautiful once you get it stitched. I layered the the outer two roses with different colours from the next colours of the colour wheel.

Rose in red and Colonial knot in orange

The Colonial knot looks similar to the french knot but it is more of a true knot as you actually tie a knot rather than wrapping your thread in the French version. It felt quicker to tie too. I tried it out with one thread and two to test what it looked like.

The videos for my reference are on these links: The colonial Knot, Bullion Knot and Rose. Another set of great stitches!
