The Games Book has been a fun project to work on, it started out as a “just a book” style project but quite quickly turned into something bigger as with all my tiny sewing projects! I wanted to turn the Games Book into a fabric folder style book with pages that could be removed. Without something to install rivets I quickly developed a way to hand sew a tiny Button Hole in all the pages.
Hand Sew a a Tiny Button Hole
The greatest way I think is to learn by doing. I trialled out lots of different ways to sew and secure a tiny hole in the folder pages of the Games Book until I settled on this way that I will show you in the following video.
The Games Book is a fabric activity book that has lots of different patchwork pages. It’s small and transportable too so is perfect make to take away on holiday to entertain the kids. I started out with a chess board page which you will see in the video:
If this has inspired you to have a go at making your own Games Book you can join in on the sew-along here. From Chess Sets, Snakes and Ladders and more.
