If you know me you know I’m a English Paper Piecing addict and I’ve recently fallen down a Hexie Flower Rabbit Hole!

It all started with my growing love of Liberty fabrics back in July when I joined in a scrap challenge to use Liberty scraps up. I made lots of different projects and the creator of the challenge Ave and Neve selected me as a prize winner. One of the prizes was a set of precut liberty hexagons.

Not really knowing what to do with them I just set to basting the hexies and decided to worry about it after!

Sometimes having a plan is overwhelming and having lots of Liberty prints building up in my stash I wanted to do something. My thoughts fell on flowers, I hadn’t really worked with hexagons since 2018 during the Fussy Cutting Sewalong when I made my ispy quilt so it felt right to revisit them.

I’m trying to keep to my basic plan of just making flowers and not think too hard about what I want to do with them. Obviously I’ll make them into a quilt but how for now can wait.

It’s like a collection of flowers to stroke for now…
