I’m very excited to share with you the English Paper Pieced Crowns Sewalong. A chance to have a go at making my English Paper Pieced Crowns at the same time as others, getting ideas and help from me and others while making your very own English Paper Piece
The crowns have come about as response to waste from Christmas paper crowns that come out of crackers but are becoming so much more than that now as I go along. From being a Princess and a King to being a winter woodland warrier.
The English Paper Pieced Crown Sewalong is going to kick off on Monday November 29th 2021 and there will be a series of videos and blog posts talking you through the process of making an English Paper Pieced Crown of your very own. All you need to do is buy the didital pdf pattern over here from here to get your templates.
English Paper Pieced Crowns Sewalong
I really wanted to record videos of the process to help people that might never have sewn English Paper Piecing style before to have something to talk them through it rather than the paper instructions in my pattern.
It’s become a whole series of videos now and it being a totally new thing for me I am more than shaking! Here is episode one that will explain more about all the different English Paper Pieced Crowns:
Hope you enjoyed it! I can’t say going on camera is my favourite thing to do but getting to explain a bit more about the three different crowns was very worthwhile.
Three Crowns
There are three different patterns for the English Paper Pieced Crowns. Each one brings something a little bit different to the table to add a little bit of uniqueness to your head gear!
The Tiny Crown is smaller and quicker to make. The Bigger Crown has all the jewels. The Round Crown has all the jewels and the add skill level of a rounded point to test your English Paper Piecing skills.
The English Paper Pieced Crown Sewalong will begin on the 29th November 2021 and will go on for a couple of weeks with a variety of tips, videos and help along the way! Watch out for another blog on Friday 26th where I will hit the videos again to share with you how you can use different fabrics to create your crowns.
I am saving the best till last I though, from now until the 24th December 2021 I have a special sewalong discount of 15% off my crowns when you purchase them on Etsy. Use the code “CROWNSEWALONG” in the shopping basket to make it qualify.
As I start to sign off until Friday I’d just like to remind you to please share with me your English Paper Pieced Crowns. I love seeing the progress and end Crowns that people make. Tag me on Instagram and Facebook @twotinymakes and use the hashtag #EnglishPaperPiecedCrowns. I look forward to seeing them.
Thanks for reading and watching
